Hi!
Meet Brock and Marta, the cutest, humblest and healthiest couple in all of Canada.

The hubs found their podcast the other night and we watched about 5 episodes of them cooking some delicious looking raw & vegan recipes.  We are not vegan, but watching how vegan meals are put together is always so inspiring to watch.

Tune in and let me know what you think!

Have a wonderful day,
Stacy

No matter what you have planned today, doesn't this photo make you want to light your favorite incense, take a nice warm bath, drink tea and write a love note?

You can purchase the above wood tub caddy and do just that! Check out Peg and Awl. A simple shop with super dreamy things. Honestly, I want one of everything.

Veggie Curry Delight

Last night we made the tastiest curry of all time. I discovered the recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. My first official curry at home! I followed the recipe to a tee--except for the potatoes. I used sweet potatoes. Oh! I also put half of the cauliflower in at first, and the other half about 15-20 minutes before I turned the heat off. I also added an extra teaspoon of yellow curry at the end to the pot.

Our house smells SO good this morning.

Even after going back for second helpings, we have about 4 servings left! We will have to whip this out the next time we go camping with a group. Wait- do bears like curry?!

Anyway. If you are on Pinterest, come find me and say hi! I'm a recipe loving fool and pin almost daily.

Otherwise, you have yourself a swell day!

I wanted to share this zesty soup recipe with you because we made it last night and it was amazing! I've been quite stuffed up and broke out the big guns (read: jalapenos!) to help clear up my nose and sinuses so I can get back into the swing of things.
First, I should disclose that I don't love sweet potatoes and I especially don't care for spicy food, so this was an adventure for me. Heck, I had never even roasted a sweet potato before! The end result was surprisingly delicious and perfect for a cold winter day (and my sinus infection).
I used Gala apples as suggested but I wasn't able to find any mint, so if you try it with, please let me know how it is!

Music Monday

Hello there!
It's been awhile since I have made a Music Monday post, so here goes nothing! Well. I actually have something...

For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, it's cold as heck out right now and the sun is rarely seen. Okay, I live in Oregon, so maybe it's just here, but you know what I am saying.

The point is, I may have found an artificial beach of sorts: the Surf Rock station on Pandora! If you use Pandora, just search for "Surf Rock" and it will plop you into the deep end of the pool. We found it by accident a few weeks ago and it was just what I needed to get out of my winter funk. Now it is my go to station when I lose motivation and need to clean house or finish up that giant wholesale order. Speaking of...I'm off to do just that.

Have a great day!

Happy New Year

Hey there. I hope your holiday festivities kept you busy, your tummies full and a smile on your face. We had a lovely holiday season with plenty of social action. Now we have been quite the hermits for the past week. I'm not complaining. The mister was home all day and it was wonderful to just...chill.

When we weren't social butterflies, we were watching lots of documentaries to get us pumped up for eating healthier and stumbled across a few that really moved us. Vegucated, King Corn and Engine 2 Diet.

We watched quite a few and were a little grossed out by our own fridge for the next couple of days after watching those shows. I was a little surprised that I hadn't heard some of the information before in regards to how our food is handled. But, now I know, and knowing is half of the battle.

What are your resolutions? Obviously one of mine is to eat healthier, but I want to get back into running. My goal is to do another 5k in April and to spend more time with family.

Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

Crunch Time-We've Got Your Back!

Related Posts with ThumbnailsIs it me or did the holiday season totally sneak up on us this year? It sure snuck up on me, that is for darn sure. No worries though, I have been working hard as an elf getting things ready for gifting in the shop so you'll be ready to gift away. Everything in the shop is already made and ready to ship within 1 business day. Oh yes we did!

Did you know there is plenty of time to still purchase and/or send a gift to those folks still on your nice list? Yep! USPS has indicated we have until 12/20 to mail anything via regular mail and 12/21 to mail items via Priority Mail. I wanted to let you know that if you are in the Portland area and are in a bit of time crunch, I am more than willing to drive out orders on the 23rd. For FREE!

Why? A: Because we like you! Alot.

Customer service is extremely important to me. Please give me a shout if there is anything we can do to make your online shopping experience a little better, your holidays easier (killer chocolate chip cookie and latke recipes?!) or even if you'd like to vent about said holidays.

If you are already done shopping (Bravo!), we're going to have a gigantic sale the day after Christmas to celebrate Boxing Day! Be sure to check it out. It's going to be HUGE! I promise.

Take care and stay warm!
