Happy New Year

Hey there. I hope your holiday festivities kept you busy, your tummies full and a smile on your face. We had a lovely holiday season with plenty of social action. Now we have been quite the hermits for the past week. I'm not complaining. The mister was home all day and it was wonderful to just...chill.

When we weren't social butterflies, we were watching lots of documentaries to get us pumped up for eating healthier and stumbled across a few that really moved us. Vegucated, King Corn and Engine 2 Diet.

We watched quite a few and were a little grossed out by our own fridge for the next couple of days after watching those shows. I was a little surprised that I hadn't heard some of the information before in regards to how our food is handled. But, now I know, and knowing is half of the battle.

What are your resolutions? Obviously one of mine is to eat healthier, but I want to get back into running. My goal is to do another 5k in April and to spend more time with family.

Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

Crunch Time-We've Got Your Back!

Is it me or did the holiday season totally sneak up on us this year? It sure snuck up on me, that is for darn sure. No worries though, I have been working hard as an elf getting things ready for gifting in the shop so you'll be ready to gift away. Everything in the shop is already made and ready to ship within 1 business day. Oh yes we did!

Did you know there is plenty of time to still purchase and/or send a gift to those folks still on your nice list? Yep! USPS has indicated we have until 12/20 to mail anything via regular mail and 12/21 to mail items via Priority Mail. I wanted to let you know that if you are in the Portland area and are in a bit of time crunch, I am more than willing to drive out orders on the 23rd. For FREE!

It's On Like Chaka Khan!

Hey there. I hope you all are well fed and well rested after Turkey Day. I know I am. Now, it is down to business, sussing out the holiday schedule; who gets what and who is going where to get it all done. This year I'm lucky enough to have been able to focus on the Etsy Shop and playing with some different designs. My goal is to list something new every week. For this week, I'm focusing on Turquoise!

I am using up all of the turquoise that I have squirreled away and have enjoyed applying new designs. The above necklace is a more modern approach to one of our best sellers, The Frida. This new silver oxidized chain is pretty awesome; substantial yet light. My favorite thing about Turquoise is that each stone has a story to tell. Each is unique and accents the stone next to it.

It's that time of year again!

I hope you are all pumped for the short week, the feast and relaxing...I know I am. For me it is a long week, getting prepped for a few shows I am doing here in Portland. One that is not to be missed is the Bernie's 7th Annual Holiday Trunk Show and Food Drive.  It's this Sunday, 11/25 from 11-2 at Bernie's Southern Bistro on Alberta. Just bring a few canned food items or non perishable goods along with your beautiful selves.

It's by far my favorite show to attend and this year I am lucky enough to participate. I'll have a few things discounted and many items that won't be listed in the online shop until next week. Did I mention there are FREE Mimosas? Yep. Miss Kellie will also have a few delicious nibs available.

Maui Wowee

We're back from vacation! Maui was lovely, warm and in the mid 80's. I have never traveled this late in the year before; usually our trips are in late spring or early summer. Although I have to say it was amazing to come back to PDX in November and it was almost 70 outside. Thank you PDX Rain for staying away until we settled back into our real life again.
