Local Biz Love: Homebew Exchange

Related Posts with ThumbnailsA lovely little shop tucked away off of Denver & Kilpatrick in Kenton that houses anything and everything you'd need to make your own home brewed beer, homemade wine, cheeses, and now kombucha! The owners are wonderful, nice and quite knowledgeable.
Last night I took the Kombucha 101 Class and bought all of my supplies right there. In my own 'hood!
The class and supplies were all around $30 too, which is a pretty sweet deal.
Did you know some of the touted health benefits of drinking kombucha? Here ya go:

Lactic acid plays a major role in maintaining a healthy digestive system.

Acetic Acids main function is to fight off harmful unwanted bacteria. This is also what gives Kombucha its definitive smell and taste.
Malic Acid Aids the body in detoxification.
Gluconic Acid and Butyric Acid Both of these acids are affective in fighting many different kinds of yeast infections.

Amino acids, the building blocks of protein, assist the human body with building cells, repairing tissue, and forming antibodies to fight off invading bacteria and viruses.
Diminishes flu and cold symptoms
Treats and prevents asthma
Increases energy
Soothes heat rash
Clears nail fungus
Heals boils and staff infections

Wish me luck on brewing my very first batch this weekend. It should be ready in about 8-10 days!
