Happy Monday!
I thought I would start something up that I used to do on the twitter and share some of my favorite tunes every Monday. Over the weekend, the mister shared his new favorite Pandora station with me and I think it's pretty groovy: Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Sounds like the perfect band to have at a Halloween Party. Anyway...check out the You Tube video here.

Saturday

Why not orange?

I am totally digging these orange chairs we purchased for the living room. They swivel and are dangerously comfy.

Wednesday

Falling forward

Related Posts with ThumbnailsFall is not messing around here in Portland. As of last weekend, the air became crisp and the leaves on the Dogwood tree in the backyard have started to slowly fall to the ground. I am a big fan of fall. Maybe it's the scarves, boots, sweaters and smell of pumpkin spiced goodies.

I purchased these boots last fall and have been missing them dearly:

Mimosa Anniversary

Happy August!
It's that time of year when the weather is warm and weekends are filled with weddings and out of town trips. last weekend, my longtime friend, Itzel was married to her longtime partner, Brian. Those two lovebird had quite the shin-dig on a farm and we whooped it up into the wee hours of the morning. It was almost like a mini-Burning Man, minus the nakedness.

This weekend, my Spouse and I are going to be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary! We're going to brunch at Davis Street Tavern- complete with M I M O S A S!!! I can not WAIT!

Sunday

I'm still here

Related Posts with ThumbnailsSorry I haven’t been writing much at all lately. This last holiday season my Dad had a terrible stroke 12 days before Christmas and everything has been put on hold for a bit.

For those of you who don’t know the man that my Husband and I lovingly refer to as 'Jorge', let me paint a picture for you: 70 year old dude, and by dude, I mean in the Big Lebowski ‘Dude’ meets Willie Nelson meets Popeye type of guy. He's a hard worker and provided for our family by working as an Iron Worker in various western states and could draw and/or paint like nobody’s business. In a nutshell, that is Jorge.

Dad was in a skilled nursing facility (I refuse to call it a nursing home, because Dad wouldn’t like me telling people that is where he is.) for a few months and has been making great physical progress. Every time I see him, he looks better than the last time we visited. He now has a right arm that doesn't work as great as it once did and can't say more than a few select words. Mostly curse words. Oh, that Jorge...I tell you what.

He's happily situated in a sunny room with his computer, TV and his spiffy new wheelchair.

If you want to know more, I’m happy to oblige to share, just drop me an email or comment here.

With that said, hugs for everyone!
Stacy

100% of raffle proceeds are donated to local non-profits: Ethos, Audubon Society and Povertybridge.

What you could win: (1 hour of tattoo from Jesse@ Blackbird), Breakside Pub, Concordia Alehouse, and more.

Shopping Fee-vah!

One side effect people have from a turkey coma is Shoppin fever! It's true, people voluntarily wake up at 5am and hit the crowded malls, fighting over the last $1 toaster.

I have never been one to wake up at the crack of dawn (or dark, as the case may be) to stand in line to score a super deal with a crowd of shoppers. Having worked in retail for eons, I kind of protest shopping on Black Friday, truth be told.

Having said that, I am all about Cyber Monday! On 11/29 in my Etsy Shop everything will be on sale--BOGO style. That's right-everything is on sale-buy one get one 50% off. Discounts are taken from the lowest priced item and refunded via PayPal after checkout.  No coupon code needed, just purchase two items. Easy Peasy.

Today it occurred to me that alot of us have to work on said Monday so I am starting the sale a bit early. Starting on Sunday, 11/28. Sip your cup of jo (or mimosa!) and peruse in your PJs before heading back to work.

That is all for now! Enjoy your holiday weekend, folks!
